Overview
Set in one of the most pristine wilderness areas left on our planet, Selinda Camp rests on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, as it enters the Linyanti River.
The private 130,000-hectare Selinda Reserve boasts elephants by the thousands, regular sightings of the Selinda pack of African wild dogs as well as the famous Selinda Lion Pride recently feature in the National Geographic film “Birth of a Pride” by Dereck and Beverly Joubert.
Selinda Camp, a Relais and Châteaux member, represents the meeting place of three cultures; European, Mokololo and Bayei and is themed to resemble that of the thatched village of Sangwali.

At the Selinda Game Reserve in northern Botswana, live in harmony with the wild while enjoying the unprecedented luxury of this tented camp: exquisite mosquito nets, oriental rugs, exposed beams, carved wooden floors and club chairs.
In the evening, sitting on the oversized sofas by the fire on the terrace, enjoy the magnificent ritual of watching the beauty of nightfall. Burning slowly, the fire will last all night, keeping the beasts away for a restful sleep.
The Selinda Suite operates exclusively, as guests enjoy their private plunge pool, private vehicle, safari guide, chef, manager/butler, and entrance to their residence.

Selinda Camp can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests (excluding The Selinda Suite). Unique in its design, the three expansive guest suites each features an indoor en-suite bathroom, a large private veranda with outdoor seating, and a private swimming pool.
Every space enhances what Livingstone would have had, what he would have travelled with and found along with his expeditions. But beyond that, we go back to the Robinson Crusoe feel, including rope textures, suites under thatch, hammocks, lots of space, nautical elements, and salvaged wood.

Experiences
Game drives
Selinda Camp offers game drives throughout the day focusing primarily on early morning and afternoon and early evening wildlife viewing drives, but full day drives are common if guests prefer.
Guided walks
If stretching one’s legs and getting a feel for Africa by foot is the guest’s preference, then it’s possible to arrange morning walks.
Photography
The camp offers custom built Land cruisers specially designed for our conditions and photography (fold-down screens, raised roofs, photographic bars, multi-plug invertors). The Cruisers are fully stocked with drinks and snacks.
Each of Selinda's guest suites has a professional camera set, including a camera body and lenses. Photos will be downloaded to a USB flash stick on guest’s departure. Each suite comes with a pair of high-quality binoculars for guest use as well.
Boating
Selinda is primarily a land-based activity camp; however, boating is possible on the Selinda Spillway in one of the camp’s powerboats, water level dependent.
Fishing
You can toss the bait with some rod/reel fishing from March to December each year, on a catch and release basis, water level dependent.
Scenic Flight and Champagne Stop
Enjoy an aerial viewing experience with great scenery across the Linyanti/Savuti and Selinda Spillway. Add a 15-minute champagne stop on palm island en route. Must be booked in advance and is subject to extra cost and availability
Spa
The Spa at Selinda is a relaxing and inviting space, located privately above the wine cellar. All treatments and ingredients used in your spa treatments were personally chosen by Dereck and Beverly Joubert in conjunction with Spacology. Spa treatments are at an additional cost.

Yoga mat, light weights available in each suite; Stationary exercise bikes.
