Overview
Spanning over 32,000 hectares between the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti and Savuti Swamps, the Selinda Game Reserve embodies the soul of Africa and, more specifically, that of Botswana.
At the crossroads of northern Botswana’s most prolific wildlife areas, the private Selinda Reserve is home to iconic African species such as leopard, lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, red lechwe, zebra, and giraffe.
It is also a refuge for some of the more uncommon species such as African wild dog, roan and sable. It is an exciting area, and guests are in the heart of this wilderness wonderland.

Insiders Review
The Zarafa Dhow Suite is a stunning two-bedroom tented suite that overlooks the Zibadianja Lagoon. Central to the Zarafa Dhow Suite is an expansive indoor lounge and dining area fitted with a dining table, leather couch and chairs.
Two large suites, each with an open layout indoor shower and copper claw-foot bath, lead off either side of this central area. Outdoor decking of recycled railway sleeper hardwood extends around the sides and front of the private safari camp.
On the main deck, guests enjoy an outdoor seating area, exercise bike (available on request), firepit area and a private swimming pool. There are expansive views of pristine Botswana wilderness and the lagoon stretching out toward the horizon. The services of a private butler, chef, game drive safari vehicle and guide are included in the nightly tariff.

Each suite rests on raised reclaimed railway sleeper decking with the interiors consisting of a lounge area that flows to a beautiful bedroom and an open layout indoor bathroom complete with a copper claw-foot bath.
Expansive outdoor decking that wraps around each guest suite offers guests a private plunge pool, outdoor seating and private outdoor shower.
Overlooking the crystal waters of Zibadianja Lagoon, the source of the famous Savute Channel, every area of camp has a magnificent view. The lagoon is also the water source for a tremendous population of wildlife – dry season sightings boast buffalo and elephant by the hundreds.

Experiences
Game drives
Drives do focus on the most comfortable and productive times of day, early morning and late afternoon into the early evening returning to camp after sunset. Full day drives are also quite common at a guest’s request. Picnic brunch can be delivered, and the vehicles are stocked with cold drinks.
Guided walks
Guided walks can also be arranged and are led by licensed guides with firearm training.
Photography
There is a custom-built Land Cruiser specially designed for our conditions and photography (fold-down screens and raised roofs) with four individual bucket seats;
The Suite has a professional camera set, including two camera bodies with two 100-400mm lenses and one wide angle lens. Photos will be downloaded to a storage device on guest’s departure. Each room also comes with a pair of high-quality binoculars for guest use as well.
Boating
The HES Zib, Zarafa’s special pontoon boat, is an utterly unique experience. The 275 sq. foot deck is complete with couches, a dining area and bar where guests can comfortably enjoy floating brunch or sundowners while watching hippos and elephants in the water. It is also an exceptional platform for birding;
Fishing
Fly-fishing and rod/reel kit is available between March and December for those who want to try their cast at the local bream on a catch and release basis.
Scenic Flight and Champagne Stop
Enjoy an aerial viewing experience with great scenery across the Linyanti/Savuti and Selinda Spillway. Add a 15-minute champagne stop on palm island en route.
