Grand East Africa Safari
Overview: Grand East Africa Safari
Enjoy the best East Africa has to offer.
From the magnificent giant dust-red tuskers of Tsavo, to the Great Migration in the Masai Mara and Serengeti, to the endangered wild dog in Laikipia and the Big 5 in Ngorongoro Crater - this is the ultimate East African safari.
Locations & Highlights
Nairobi
Visit the most instagrammed property in the world, the Giraffe Manor with its resident herd of Rothschild’s giraffes who may visit morning and evening, poking their long necks into the windows in the hope of a treat, before retreating to their forest sanctuary.
Amboseli-Tsavo
Amboseli - Tsavo Ecosystem, with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background, is particularly well known for its large herds of “red” elephants, including some of Africa’s last big tuskers.
It is one of the less populated game areas in Kenya and is perfect for those who want to enjoy a pristine and exclusive wildlife experience.
Laikipia Reserve
Laikipia is a land of staggering natural beauty and biodiversity with Mount Kenya’s shadow looming large over its landscape.
Laikipia offers some of the most magnificent wildlife viewing in Kenya, from the famous Big 5 experience to more unusual and elusive creatures, like the striped hyena, the peculiar gerenuk or the Beisa Oryx
Masai Mara
Host to the world’s largest wildebeest migration, as the herds make their way from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, crossing the Nile crocodile-infested Mara River in search of better water and grass resources.
The Masai Mara is often called the ‘kingdom of lions’ as they dominate the grasslands of the reserve.
Serengeti
Serengeti is famous for being the location of the Great Wildlife Migration, which sees two million wildebeests, zebras and antelopes stretched across its plains. It's also an extremely large and wild game park, and is home to the Big Five.
Ngorongoro Crater
Visit the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa. Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and also one of the Sevens Natural Wonders of Africa.
Olduvai Gorge, located in the Conservation Area is said to be the earliest known evidence of the human species.
