Londolozi is one of South Africa’s original private game reserves. Our emphasis on conservation and a village ethos stands alongside a commitment to luxurious accommodation, fine cuisine and exceptional service.
In 1993, Londolozi became the first game reserve in the world to be accorded Relais & Châteaux status.
Londolozi is situated on the banks of the Sand River, in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park. Going on safari at Londolozi allows you to have an exclusive and luxurious experience of the area.

Londolozi’s Private Granite Suites are a celebration of elegance and elephants in a remarkable river setting and offer an extraordinary experience.
The lodge is flanked by an extrusion of granite rocks, an effect echoed by the décor’s bold materials and silver, charcoal and elephant grey palette. The suites convey Africa’s raw essence with a contemporary and elegant flavour. A sunset river bar and sunken cocktail lounge are suspended high above the Sand River, where breeding herds of elephants wander over the ancient river ways.
The Suites blend the boundaries between inside and outside, creating a seamless integration with nature with large doors and windows opening directly onto the Sand River. Each suite has a luxurious outdoor bath and private, heated swimming pool.

Set amongst the dappled shade of 500-year-old ebony trees, Pioneer Camp is the culmination of five decades of design experience in the safari industry.
Pioneer Camp is the most secluded of Londolozi’s luxury camps. The three private suites have superb river views and are perfect for honeymooners. Alternatively, this adaptable camp may also be converted into a “private bush home” for a large family group of up to six adults and six children.
The spacious entrance halls are decorated in classic Ralph Lauren and the clean lines of the interior offset the glass sliding panels which frame the wilderness views beyond. The bathrooms are classic Victorian with modern accents in marble, chrome and mahogany.

Game Drives
Game drives at Londolozi are taken by professional, passionate and knowledgeable rangers and trackers, who have 350 years of experience between them. With over 34,000 acres of traversing wilderness, no two game drives are ever the same.
Trackers sit up at the front of the Land Rover looking for fresh animal tracks, an ancient art-form living inside a human being that is magnificent to watch in action.
Rangers drive with astonishing skill into ravines and through thickets in pursuit of rare animal sightings, simultaneously astonishing guests with their outstanding knowledge and unforgettable stories. These naturalist teams go out of their way to showcase the remarkable intelligence of nature.
Londolozi Healing House
“Home is where the heart is”… years of meticulous attention to the healing power of wilderness and “bushveld living” went into the collaboration of this holistic, nature-based experience by Shan Varty and her daughter Bronwyn.
The space is designed to facilitate deep rest, rejuvenation and reconnection. Inspired by ancient wisdom, Shan and Bronwyn created a new safari offering guided by nature, yet deeply grounded in mind, body, spirit and heart.
Photographic Safari
For the photographic veteran, or anyone who is looking for privacy while on game drive and wants a vehicle entirely to themselves a private safari vehicle can be reserved for individuals and families.
A dedicated Ranger and Tracker team will focus on tailoring the safari experience around the guest’s specific wildlife photography needs and interests (e.g. birding, wildlife, botany, big cats, macro, stars, landscapes or moods). This is ideal for experienced wildlife safari photographers or those who enjoy a little more privacy in this stunning Kruger National Park game reserve.
