Overview
The NamibRand Nature Reserve, located in southern Namibia, is a private nature reserve established to help protect and conserve the unique ecology and wildlife of the south-west Namib Desert. It is the largest private nature reserve in southern Africa, extending over an area of more than 200,000 ha.
Virtually all facets of the Namib Desert are represented on the Reserve – sand and gravel plains and stretches of savanna alternate with mountain ranges, inselbergs and vegetated dune belts.

Dune Camp private is designed for those who enjoy their privacy and want space to relax while still having the option of the main camp a short walk away.
The Villa has two ensuite bedrooms each with a generous outdoor bathrooms as well as another tented room that is ideal for children and shares a bathroom with one of the suites. An intimate lounge and dining area separate the two suites ensuring privacy from each other should you be friends, couples or an extended family travelling together.
The deck links the spaces together providing plenty of room to relax. Additionally, each suite has a plunge pool, known as the ‘Wolwedans chiller’, too cool off in on hot days.
Guests staying here can opt to have meals at the main camp or in the privacy of their villa. Meals will be delivered from the main lodge. This villa is on an exclusive-use basis only.

Positioned on the edge of a 250-metre high dune, Dune Camp has the most extraordinary views across the Namibrand reserve. The main areas are spread out across a series of interlocking decks ensuring that the lounge, dining area and tea room all enjoy views across the endless dune landscape to the mountains beyond.
The tented and wooden structures are designed for the desert. The canvas sides can all be opened up capturing the cool breeze in the hot summer months, and in winter keeping you warm when the canvas sides are rolled down.
A generous deck allows for plenty of lounging around, safe sleep-outs under the stars, and each comes with the ‘Wolwedans Chiller’ – a water filled silo to cool off during hot summer months
